III. The 4 Things All Articles Must HaveThe importance of articles in today?s websites and Internet based companies are immeasurable. They dictate a lot in the success and the drive of traffic into one?s site. It has become a key element in making a site work and earns a profit. A website operator and owner must have the good sense to include articles in his or her site that will work for them and earn them the many benefits articles can give to their site.
Articles have been known to be the driving force in driving traffic to a website. Articles are a factor in giving site high rankings in search result pages. The higher a site ranks the bigger slice of the traffic flow pie he gets. With a huge number in traffic flow, there are more profits and more potential for other income generating schemes as well.
But, it is not just about stuffing your site with articles; they have certain requirements as well. These requirements must be met to obtain the maximum benefits an article will provide for your site. A well written article will catch the eyes and interest of your customers and keep them coming back for more. They would also be able to recommend your site to others.
Here are some tips to help you and assist you in making your articles. Below you will read about four things all articles must have to make it successful and helpful in making your site a profit earning and traffic overflowing site.
Keywords and Keyword PhrasesAn article must always be centered on the keywords and keyword phrases. As each website visitor goes to a site, there are those who are just merely browsing but actually looking for a specific something. When this happens, a searcher usually goes to a search engine and types in the keywords they are looking for (e.g. Toyota Camry, Meningitis, Tax Lawyer and Etcetera). It could be anything they want.
The Important thing is that you have an article that has the keywords that are related to your site. For example, if you maintain an auto parts site, you must be able to have articles about cars and their parts. There are many tools in the Internet that provides service in helping a webmaster out in determining what keywords and keyword phrases are
mostly sought out. We?ll take a closer look at this topic a little later.
Keyword DensityKnow that you have your keywords and keyword phrases, you must use them fully. An article must have good keyword density for a search engine to ?feel? its presence. Articles should at least have ten to fifteen percent of keyword density in their content for search engines to rank a site high in their search results. Getting a high rank is what articles do best for a site.
Keyword density is the number of times a keyword or keyword phrase is used on an
article. The number varies depending on the number of words used in an article. An effective article must have a keyword density that is not too high or too low. With a very high density, the essence of the article is lost and may turn off a reader as well as the search engines. It comes off as overeager. A low number may be ignored by the search
engines.
Good Article Content - The BodyLike what is stated above, you cannot just riddle an article with keywords. They must also be regarded as good reading materials. Articles must be able to entertain people as well as provide good information and help for their needs. Articles should be written well with correct spelling and good grammar. If you want people to trust you, make your work
good and well thought out.
People respond well to facts, statistics and tips. A great way to structure your article?s body is to simply start with an introductory paragraph, provide a few tips or points, then end with a conclusion paragraph. Using tips in your articles keeps your readers focused. Using this structure will make it easier for you to write articles also because it?s
an organized approach.
A Good Resource BoxAnd another important thing to remember: if you are going to submit articles to Ezines and/or contribute your articles to newsletters and other sites, DON?T ever forget to include a link to your site. A little resource box with a brief description of your site and you should always be placed right after your articles that you have submitted. If people like
your articles, they will most likely click on the link directing them to your site.
When writing your resource box, a good technique is to make your offer attractive by getting in your reader's head. Think about why your reader was brought to your article - perhaps because he or she has a certain need and when searching the web, stumbled upon your article.
This is an opportunity for you to provide an answer to that need. For example if some one is looking for a job, you could write something like:
"Did you know it takes the average person 120 days to find a new job? Can you afford to wait that long? Discover how you can slash that time in half...without settling for a position you will hate here: ?www.yourlink.com".
You should also include a short, one-sentence bio either before or after the promo part of your resource box. I have personally achieved greater success by putting the bio part at the end of the resource box.
IV. Article Submission TipsSince I have been using article marketing for the past five years, I have observed the following:
Although there are many (too many!) article directories, five of them have resulted in significant traffic for me. These directories are: EzineArticles, SearchWarp, Articlesbase, GoArticles and Isnare.
Although there are many highly trafficked article directories, it hasn't been beneficial for me to submit an identical article to a lot of directories. This is because search engines have cracked down on duplicate content, so most of this content
will not get indexed. In fact, one, two, perhaps three (of the same) articles at the most will get indexed. This means that your article won?t show up in the search engines and the only traffic it receives will be from visitors finding your article
within the article directory.
I am not implying that you should not submit your articles to multiple directories, how ever you need to create unique versions of every article for each directory in order to reap maximum results, which is of course traffic and backlinks.
Ouch! Yea, I know, that sounds like a lot of work. Well, actually it's not too bad if you have the right tool to simplify this process. There is a free tool I use to produce many unique versions of the same article. In about 15 minutes I can produce hundreds, yes hundreds of different versions of the same article. This process is referred to as article spinning. This free tool is called Jet Spinner. They have great tutorial videos to show you how to use this powerful free tool.
If you plan to spin your articles and submit them to many article directories, I suggest you check out each article directory?s Alexa rank first. A website?s Alexa rank indicates the volume of traffic it receives. Websites are given a number based on the amount of traffic generated compared to every other website. A lower number indicates a higher
score.
The reason that I strongly encourage you to check out article directories? Alexa rankings is because there are so many article directories that are just plain junk sites trying to make a few cents off advertising. You would be wasting your time submitting to these directories.
You can find a plethora of article directories by typing ?article directories? (use quotes).
After you?ve decided which article directories in which to submit your articles, you have three options:
- submit articles manually
- use submission software (semi-automatic)
- use a paid an article submission servic
If you?re only submitting to a few articles directories, then submitting your articles manually may be the best option. There are many inexpensive software applications available that will speed up the article submission process. Most of these applications search automatically, fill in your account information and article content, then you have to manually submit. This definitely speeds up the process, especially if you?re submitting to many article directories. Would you like a FREE copy of this software right now?

here for more details.
There is another, more pricey option of using an article submission service that does all this for you. One of the most popular submission services is Article Marketer. They are very reliable and have great relationships with hundreds of Articles Directories.
V. ConclusionOk, in a nutshell, here?s the process:
- Select high search volume, low competition keywords for your article titles.
- Write articles consisting of 300 to 500 words.
- Select article directories for submitting your articles that have a low Alexa ranking.
- Create unique versions of your articles using JetSpinner.
- Submit your articles to the directories you've selected or use a submission service.
- Watch the traffic flow!
